Instruction One: Set up
the computer for your Motorcycle or ATV
Hold down all three buttons together to clear all information
from the computer (3 seconds). The computer should enter a “test
mode” where it flashes all the digits in sequence. Press any
button to enter the programming mode. The cursor will be
flashing on ‘km/h’. If mph is desired, press the left button
once. Click the MODE button to move to the wheel size setting.
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
All motorcycles with 21” front wheels: 2205mm
All ATVs with stock 21” front wheels: 1580mm
All ATVs with stock 23” front wheels: 1676mm
To make your own measurement:
Use a flat, hard surface (e.g. driveway, sidewalk), and a piece
of chalk or a marking pen.
Mark the sidewall of the tire and the ground at the same point.
Roll the vehicle one full revolution until the mark on the
sidewall returns to the ground (Tip: for best accuracy, have
someone push you while your weight is on the vehicle.) Mark the
ground again.
Use a tape measure to calculate the distance between
the two marks on the ground. If the measured units are inches,
multiply by 25.4 to convert to millimeters.
Once the desired wheel size setting is entered, click the MODE
button to move to the clock setting. If a ’12 hour’ clock is
desired, click the left button once. Click the right button to
move to the actual clock setting.
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
Click the MODE button to move to the oil change reminder. If
this feature will not be used, set all numbers to zero. The
large number 60 indicates this setting is pre-programmed at 60
(miles or kilometers).
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
Click the MODE button to move to the maintenance reminder. If
this feature will not be used, set all numbers to zero. The
small number 2 and two large zeros indicates that the setting is
pre-programmed at 200 hundred (miles or kilometers).
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
Click the MODE button to move to the Odometer (ODO) setting.
Enter miles or kilometers ridden to date, if desired.
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
Click the MODE button to move to the Accumulated Riding Time
setting (ART). Enter hours to date, if desired.
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
If you do not press any button for three seconds, computer will
leave the programming mode and return to the main screen.
Instruction Two:
Changing Data Without Losing Information
Hold down the two outside buttons together to enter programming
mode (2 seconds). You will go immediately to the wheel size
setting. Click the MODE button to move to the feature you would
like to change.
Left button changes the flashing digit, right button moves the
cursor to the next digit.
Instruction Three:
Computer Operation
Primary Feature List:
DST (trip distance)
RT (trip ride time)
ODO (odometer)
ART (accumulated ride time)
MS (maximum speed)
TT (total time/stop watch)
AS (average speed)
Pace Arrow (cannot be modified)-indicates above or below average
speed
The computer will start providing information when the wheel of
the vehicle starts rolling. It will shut itself off
automatically after there has been no activity for 20 minutes.
To set the trip distance (DST) to zero, hold down the left and
center buttons together (3 seconds). This will also zero ride
time (RT), stop watch or total time (TT), maximum speed (MS) and
average speed (AS).
Instruction Four:
Modify Trip Distance by tenths
To increase or decrease the trip distance, hold down the MODE
button for two seconds. When the trip distance feature is
flashing, modify it upwards by clicking the left button. Modify
it downwards by clicking the right button.
Instruction Five:
Backlight feature
Click the right button to turn the backlight feature on. Light
will stay on for five seconds, then turn off automatically to
conserve battery power.
Instruction Six: Using
the computer for second vehicle
The computer contains two separate menus. To reach the second
menu (Bike 2), hold the right button down for five seconds. The
backlight will turn on, and off; then the computer will switch
to Bike 2. Program for the second vehicle by holding down the
two outside buttons together for two seconds. Follow
instructions above for Normal Data Setting. If Bike 1 is
programmed for kilometers, then Bike 2 must also be programmed
for kilometers.
Instruction Seven: Turn
off reminder lights when they are blinking
If the oil and/or maintenance reminders are used, the
appropriate icon will flash when the distance has been reached.
To stop the icon from flashing, enter the Normal Data Setting
mode (hold down two outside buttons for two seconds), then click
the MODE button until the reminder setting is reached. Simply
viewing the setting will stop the icon from flashing. The
computer will return to the regular operation screen within five
seconds. |
